EQUALITY & DIVERSITY POLICY

At Peak Pickleball, we believe that pickleball is for everyone. We are proudly committed to making the sport open, welcoming, and inclusive to people of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities.

Our Commitment

  • We are dedicated to upholding the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion in everything we do. This means:

  • Providing equal opportunities to participate, learn, and enjoy pickleball

  • Creating a space where no one is discriminated against – directly or indirectly – on the basis of age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or socio-economic background

  • Treating all players, staff, and visitors fairly and consistently, with dignity and respect

How We Deliver This

  • We regularly review and monitor our sessions, events, and operations to ensure our policy is being upheld

  • We take appropriate action if we find any part of our activity does not reflect our values

  • We work to challenge stereotypes and assumptions, and we support positive dialogue around inclusion

  • We may, where appropriate, run sessions or competitions limited to specific age, gender, or disability groups to ensure equity, fairness, and safety for all participants

Everyone’s Responsibility

Every person involved with Peak Pickleball, from customers and players to staff and volunteers, shares responsibility for making this policy a reality. We all play a part in:

  • Promoting a respectful environment on and off the court

  • Speaking up against discrimination or exclusion

  • Encouraging inclusive behaviour and attitudes

  • The Peak Pickleball team will take reasonable and proportionate steps to investigate and respond to any breach of this policy. Discrimination of any kind, or bad behaviour (as determined by Peak Pickleball staff) may result in the customer being banned from Peak Pickleball

Monitoring & Improvement

  • The Peak Pickleball team is responsible for overseeing the implementation of this policy

  • Where relevant, we may collect anonymous data to track our progress in building a truly inclusive pickleball community. This information is used strictly for monitoring and improvement purposes

We are committed to continuing our work to make Peak Pickleball a place where everyone feels welcome, seen, and valued on every court, in every session
